Our Mission

Bees Feed Us — And Together, We Can Feed the Future.

Our Mission Statement

Bees Feed Us is committed to promoting food security and self-sufficiency through the practice of beekeeping. Through education, advocacy and research we are inspiring future generations.

Mission Narrative

At Bees Feed US, we believe that strong, healthy honey bee colonies form the foundation of sustainable food systems. By teaching practical hive management, deep colony awareness, and environmentally responsible practices, we empower individuals and communities to nurture their own food sources and strengthen local food security.

Understanding how to “read the hive,” respond to environmental changes, and maintain thriving colonies improves pollination, boosts garden yields, and fosters resilience, independence, and a deep connection to the natural world.

Education That Inspires

Education is at the heart of everything we do. Through partnerships with universities, cities, and community programs, we offer immersive, hands-on experiences that bring people face-to-face with honey bees. Participants work directly in the hive, observe colony behavior, and learn sustainable beekeeping practices that benefit both pollinators and food systems.

These experiences don’t just train beekeepers — they inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.

Research That Moves Us Forward

Our research partnerships give us access to advanced scientific tools — including mass spectrometry — allowing us to study honey bee health, environmental pressures, and colony resilience on a deeper level.

This research strengthens our understanding of honey bees, supports sustainable practices, and contributes meaningful insight to the scientific, agricultural, and beekeeping communities.

Advocacy That Protects All Pollinators

Honey bees are only one part of the pollinator family. Through advocacy, we promote awareness of pollinator diversity and foster compassion, coexistence, and environmental responsibility.

Our goal is a world where humans, bees, and all pollinators thrive together — supporting biodiversity, healthy landscapes, and food security for generations.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where thriving pollinator populations sustain healthy ecosystems, abundant gardens, and resilient communities.

We envision people everywhere connected to nature through beekeeping — empowered by knowledge, inspired by stewardship, and united in protecting the bees that sustain life.

Through collaboration with universities, cities, and community partners, Bees Feed US seeks to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders who understand that food security and ecological balance begin with compassion, education, and coexistence.

A Future We’re Already Building

Imagine: Backyards humming with life. Rooftop gardens overflowing with blooms. Communities harvesting pure local honey and fresh homegrown produce. Neighbors gathering at harvest time — sharing food, extracting honey, celebrating what they created together. We’re turning this vision into reality.

Through partnerships across Southern California, we’ve established five acres of urban land as a living classroom for community education, hands-on training, and pollinator research. We would like to expand this space to include a dedicated food-growing demonstration area — proof that fresh, healthy food can be grown anywhere, from large fields to apartment balconies.

For families who can’t afford a hive, we don’t just donate supplies — we mentor, we teach, we empower. Once someone experiences the magic of tending a hive, that spark spreads through households, neighborhoods, and entire communities.
