You Are the Heart of Bees Feed US

Real change isn't built by a handful of huge donations—
it's built by thousands of people who care.

Our $20–$500 donors form the backbone of this mission.
Your support keeps bees healthy, growing, and communities thriving.
You are not a "small donor." You are a partner in impact.

Your gift helps us:

  • Outreach and education in schools and throughout the community
  • Support for local beekeepers who need resources or emergency assistance
  • Strengthen honey-bee genetics to fight pests naturally and reduce chemical use
  • Take quick, meaningful action in situations where large grants cannot

Thank you for believing in us, and thank you for protecting the bees that feed us all.

Annual Sponsorships

Perfect for Foundations, Nonprofits, Corporations, Individuals, Families, and Organizations who want deep, meaningful, impact.

A life-changing gift for both bees and people.

This is a monumental undertaking—one that few beekeepers are willing or able to commit to. Your sponsorship fuels our R4 Project, a full-circle rescue and mentorship program that not only transforms feral honey bee colonies into safe, thriving hives, but also provides a family in need with the tools, training, and support to become self-reliant through beekeeping.

R4: Rescue • ReHome • ReQueen • ReEstablish

  • Rescue: We save wild swarms and feral colonies that would otherwise be destroyed for being too aggressive. Every rescue saves bees, and reduces risks to the community and environment.
  • ReHome: Rescued colonies are gently transferred into proper hive equipment. As they grow, we supply everything needed—boxes, nutrition, and support—to build a strong, healthy hive.
  • ReQueen: A crucial step in the process. Most all rescued colonies in the Southern California test positive for Africanized genetics (Apis Mellifera Scutellata - Africanized Honey Bees), a highly defensive and invasive strain. Through careful ReQueening, often requiring multiple attempts, we introduce gentle, productive queens that transform the colony into a safe, low-defensive, honey-rich, and mite-resistant colonies. Genetic testing verifies the colony is safe for the community.
  • ReEstablish: Once fully rehabilitated, the hive is donated to a young beekeeper or a family in need—someone who otherwise could not afford this opportunity. And this is where your sponsorship becomes truly life-changing.

The Life-Changing Impact You Provide

Through your sponsorship, a family receives:

  • A complete beehive—fully established, healthy, and productive
  • Hands-on training in organic and sustainable beekeeping
  • A full year of mentorship through OCBeekeeping Mentorship Program
  • All necessary equipment: bee boxes, tools, protective gear, bee suit, feeder systems, and more
  • Pest management support to ensure long-term hive health

With bees, food yields can increase up to 70%—giving a family the ability to grow more fresh food, produce honey, and generate income through local sales. This is sustainability. This is empowerment. This is generational impact.

Your Sponsorship Accomplishes So Much

  • Creates safe, productive honey bee colonies
  • Saves bees and protects local ecosystems
  • Trains and inspires the next generation of responsible beekeepers
  • Provides families with a reliable source of food, honey, and income
  • Builds confidence, education, and long-term stability
  • Strengthens community involvement and environmental stewardship

This is more than a donation— it's a life-changing opportunity you are directly putting into the hands of a family who needs it most.

Exclusive Sponsor Experience

Your support also gains you access to our bee yard for a private, immersive beekeeping experience. Bring friends, family, or your team and join our lead beekeeper, Bill, for a deep dive into the hive. You'll hold frames of bees, learn the inner workings of the colony, and capture stunning photos and videos for personal use, content, or social media. After your beekeeping experience or hive dive, we'll guide you through a honey tasting featuring our full range of liquid and creamed honeys—each crafted from the very hives you explored. This is a rare, farm-to-table, hive-to-home experience like no other. And the best part? You'll take it all home with you to enjoy, share, or savor!

Sponsor a Donor Hive — $20,000

These are our flagship, high-performance hives—the ones that work the hardest and fuel our mission of education, outreach, and groundbreaking honey bee health research. A fully supported production hive can produce up to 100 pounds of honey in a strong season, all while maintaining the reserves the colony needs to thrive.

As a Hive Sponsor, you'll receive approximately 50 pounds of premium, small-batch honey, harvested directly from your hive and bottled with your own custom label. It's a one-of-a-kind gift, an unforgettable talking piece, and a delicious way to support the bees that make it all possible.

In return for your donation, your hive will carry your foundation, family or company name, proudly displayed as its official identity. You and your group will also have the opportunity to join our lead beekeeper, Bill, for a private, hands-on deep dive into the world of honey bees. You'll explore the hive, learn its rhythms, and capture your own photos, videos, and content featuring your production hive in action—perfect for marketing, social media, or simply an unforgettable experience.

Again, this hive does far more than produce extraordinary honey. It actively supports education, strengthens community outreach, and contributes to critical research shaping the future of honey bee health. Your sponsorship isn't just sweet—it's meaningful, memorable, and truly impactful.

Sponsor for $8,000

Same hives as above, our most demanding and most rewarding hives. A fully supported production hive can yield around 100 pounds of honey in a good year, while still leaving plenty for the bees to thrive. As a sponsor, you typically receive approximately 50 pounds of beautiful bulk honey—straight from your hive.

Half the honey remains with the bees and sustains the colony through winter. The other half is yours to enjoy, gift, or share—making this sponsorship both impactful and delicious. Custom jarring and labeling can be arranged.

Help reintroduce gentle bee genetics back into your community! Drone hives produce male bees (drones) that mate with wild queens. This "Drone Flooding" can help calm feral and swarming colonies, especially where the highly invasive Africanized honey bees (Apis mellifera scutellata), known for their highly defensive/aggressive behavior, dominates the Southern US.

Your Impact:

  • Encourage calmer, community-friendly bees
  • Help reduce aggressive traits over time
  • Support safer beekeeping and neighborhoods
  • Strengthen local honey bee genetics

For Your Sponsorship:

  • Hapa Honey Farm variety case. 12-12oz jars
  • Hands-on experience for 2
